Cordwell Selected For Bromsgrove Gateway Scheme

January 2015

Worcestershire property group Cordwell has been appointed by Bromsgrove District Council to work on the development of a new gateway to the town.

The council approved the disposal of Stourbridge Road car park to Cordwell, which was selected from seven parties to put forward plans for the site.

The development will comprise three units which will be occupied by renowned brands.

Tom Wilcox, development director at Cordwell, said: “We are delighted to have been selected by Bromsgrove District Council to develop this key town centre site, the operators we have been in discussions with to date will bring a much greater diverse retail mix to the town in a high quality development.”

Rita Dent, town centre cabinet member for Bromsgrove District Council, added: “The announcement of the sale of the Stourbridge Road site shows that the work on the Town Centre is now racing forward.”

Plans are expected to be put forward to the council early this year.
