Freehold commercial property is top of shopping list for Worcestershire investors

The sale of the freehold of a three storey building in a prominent position in Worcester city centre has been successfully negotiated by Worcestershire commercial property consultancy GJS Dillon and national auction house Bond Wolfe.

Acting on behalf of the vendor, Andrew Lewis, Associate Director at GJS Dillon, sold  24 & 25 The Tything at auction to a private investor for a guide price of £395,000. The property consists of a three-storey building providing two self-contained retail units on the ground floor and accommodation on the ground floor and vacant space on the first and second floors with potential for development. Mr Lewis worked in conjunction with national auction house Bond Wolfe in order to sell the property.

Mr Lewis said ‘Mixed-use commercial properties of this calibre are very popular, particularly in central Worcester which has a strong community atmosphere. In this instance we were able to use our local knowledge and work in partnership with Bond Wolf to sell the property at auction. With interest rates still low, demand from investors for this type of freehold investment property in Worcestershire remains high’
