GJS Dillon Acquires Bromsgrove Offices For Growing Accountants

February 2017

Worcestershire commercial property consultancy GJS Dillon has acquired new office premises for a growing Bromsgrove accountancy firm.

John Dillon, managing director of GJS Dillon, acquired 1 Aston Court, Bromsgrove Technology Park, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, B60 3AL, a 2,318 sq ft, self-contained office building for Kenneth Morris Chartered Accountants for £350,000.

Kenneth Morris have now moved all of their 17 staff from their old office at 9 – 11 New Road, in Bromsgrove Town Centre.

Richard Waller, director of Kenneth Morris, approached GJS Dillon to make use of its business relocation service. The accountancy firm wanted to acquire larger modern offices with car parking, but to remain in Bromsgrove.

He says: “We needed more space to accommodate our growing practice, but there was not much choice in the market, and we were not confident that we could obtain the best value deal on our own. As professionals in accountancy and tax advice we know just how important it is to hire professionals who are experts in their own field, so we turned to GJS Dillon.”

Mr Dillon says: “We worked closely with Kenneth Morris to identify its present and future business needs, space and location requirements, and budgetary constraints. We carried out a comprehensive search on and off the market for suitable office properties to present to our client and then acquired their preferred choice.”

Mr Waller continues: “GJS Dillon took the time to understand our needs and help us shortlist suitable locations. Working with John and his colleagues, we know we have obtained the best deal from the available office properties. We appreciate the work that GJS Dillon has done on this and would recommend them.”

“With the current high demand and lack of available stock of office and industrial space in Worcestershire, it is essential to use a local, experienced Chartered Surveyor not only to find the right property, but to be certain that you have achieved the best deal you can,” says Mr Dillon.

“A business may only move a few times in its history, so its directors are not best suited to work out detailed property requirements, nor to search and negotiate for new premises on and off the market. In the same way, they are not best suited to negotiate with landlords or to sell a building.

“With around one third of Worcestershire businesses planning to move in the next two years, as part of their plans for growth, we expect many more companies to make use of our relocation service in the near future,” continues Mr Dillon.
