GJS DILLON APPOINTED TO ACQUIRE NEW HANDELSBANKEN BRANCH

Worcestershire commercial property consultancy GJS Dillon LLP has been appointed to acquire a new branch office for Handelsbanken in Bromsgrove.

John Dillon, partner at GJS Dillon, which has offices in Bromsgrove and Worcester, has been appointed to carry out a detailed search of suitable on- and off-market properties, and then to acquire grade A office space of between 1,500 sq ft and 2,000 sq ft, in and around Bromsgrove town centre.

Handelsbanken, which is the top UK bank for customer satisfaction and loyalty for both personal and business banking customers, announced its decision to open in Bromsgrove earlier this month (January 2013).

Stephen Ellis, a former Corporate Account Manager at Handelsbanken in Worcester, has been appointed manager of the new Bromsgrove branch. He said: “It was a natural move for us to expand our Worcestershire presence into Bromsgrove to better meet the needs of our local business and personal customers. GJS Dillon is the obvious choice to find us the best premises which meets all our needs, at the right cost.”

Mr Dillon said: “I am delighted that Handelsbanken is opening a new branch in Bromsgrove, as it underscores once again that the town is a premier location for all sizes of business looking for a base in the Midlands.

“I am also very pleased that, along with increasing numbers of organisations seeking to acquire commercial property, Mr Ellis has recognised the advantages of using a professional chartered surveyor to undertake the search and acquisition process for his new office.”
