GJS Dillon helps mobility equipment provider find new location in Worcester

June 2022

A key provider of mobility equipment to hospitals, occupational therapists and private customers in the UK has found a new location thanks to the efforts of GJS Dillon.

Magbility, which was established over 20 years ago has moved into the former premises of Lloyds Bank on New Road, St Johns Worcester. In the wake of the pandemic, central Worcester is more popular, with occupiers wanting to be around the centre and its workforce.

Acting on behalf of a private pension fund, Kyle Pugh, GJS Dillon’s Graduate Surveyor negotiated the letting. The purpose built property is set out over two floors and measures 2,806 sq ft, offering a mix of open-plan and individual offices. On the ground floor there is a good-sized retail area leading to offices at the rear and a strong room which is suitable for storage. Further office space is available on the first floor and there is allocated car parking for eight cars.

Mark Grant, Managing Director of Magbility said:

‘As a growing local family business, we needed to move to a larger showroom to showcase our full range of mobility products. With over 20 years of experience, we know that finding  suitable building is never a straightforward process and can require a huge amount of effort to get the right location at the right price.’

‘Being a local company, we were able to work closely with GJS Dillion from the get-go. Once we had found a suitable location, we received regular, valuable feedback from Kyle as we went through the negotiation process and I believe that this is  a key element to any company looking to successfully acquire new premises.’

‘We are looking forward to serving the Worcester community with our range of mobility aids and services from our new location’

Mr Pugh said ‘We were delighted to assist Magbility in finding these premises. The property is ideally located close to Worcester city centre and is right in the middle of St Johns which is a busy area. This return to the city centre is a trend that we identified in our Worcestershire Commercial Property Market. In the wake of the pandemic, occupiers want to be centred around the city and its workforce’

The St Johns area of Worcester is a busy neighbourhood shopping area situated approximately one mile to the west of the city centre. Motorway access to the city is 4 miles away, with junctions 6 and 7 of the M5 giving direct access to the national motorway network.
