New developments breathing life into Redditch industrial property market

New developments are breathing life into Redditch’s industrial market across the entire business spectrum with regards to size, although take-up is still tracked below the 10 year average according to Worcestershire Commercial Property agency and Chartered Surveyors GJS Dillon.

‘Redditch is a hot spot for occupiers looking for a variety of well-connected space that is in the centre of the country’ says Andrew Lewis, Associate Director at GJS Dillon, writing in GJS Dillon’s Worcestershire Commercial Property Market Report for 2020.

‘Headline rental values in Redditch have increased dramatically over the past year, showing the effect that the new schemes are having. They also show the appetite from occupiers seeking accommodation in the sub 5,000 sq ft market’ he added

One such development is Brook Business Centre in Beoley, Redditch where GJS Dillon are joint agents with AMT Commercial.

Brook Business Centre is a brand new mixed commercial development on Icknield Street in Beoley just 2 miles east of Redditch town centre.

The development comprises six self-contained units designed to be suitable for  a variety of uses including a self-contained office measuring 669 sq ft, two 1,553 sq ft business units and three self- contained industrial units measuring 1,385, 1,916 and 1,513 sq ft respectively. The units have now been let and GJS Dillon had interest in all of them prior to the development completing.
