Office building in Droitwich refurbished and fully let thanks to GJS Dillon

Acting on behalf of Oakendale Investments Ltd, Andrew Lewis, Commercial Director at GJS Dillon, let both floors simultaneously at 2 Hampton Lovett in Droitwich. The detached modern office premises measure 3,717 sq ft in total and are situated on Hampton Lovett Business Park. The Park is to the north of Droitwich town centre and close to national and local motorway networks.

BK Medical Ltd took out a 5 year lease on the ground floor unit which extends to 1,839 sq ft. The first floor unit which measures 1,878 sq ft was let on a 5 year lease to hotelshopUK Ltd.

The Worcestershire commercial property consultancy was first instructed on the building in March 2021. At that point, the inside of the property needed to be reconfigured into a modern open plan office having previously been occupied by one tenant for over 10 years. GJS Dillon’s Asset Management department recommended that the building be refurbished and this was carried out successfully.

Initially, the property was marketed as a whole building but GJS Dillon’s knowledge of local market data indicated that, as a result of the pandemic, the office market in Droitwich was stronger in the sub 2,000 sq ft category. They therefore recommended splitting  it into two units as there was a greater chance of finding quality occupiers quickly. GJS’s Dillon’s Commercial Agency then negotiated the lettings for both floors.

Mr Lewis then helped us to ascertain rental value, the property was split over two floors and we now have two tenants. We found him to be knowledgeable and helpful and it was evident we were dealing with a company who knew the local area really well’
