Agents Appointed in Cultural and Commercial Hub Project
Bromsgrove District Council has appointed local commercial property specialists GJS Dillon to oversee the marketing of a new commercial office and leisure building in Bromsgrove town centre, located on the Former Market Hall site.
The newly constructed Commercial Building forms a key part of a major Bromsgrove regeneration project and will deliver space for up to two food and beverage operators, alongside more than 1,000 sq m of premium office accommodation across three floors. A rooftop terrace overlooking Bromsgrove town centre will further enhance the appeal of the scheme for modern occupiers seeking high-quality workspace in Worcestershire.
“We are extremely pleased to have been appointed to market the commercial space within this landmark Bromsgrove town centre development. The scheme will provide much-needed, high-quality office accommodation in Worcestershire, positioned directly alongside the town’s shops, restaurants, and transport links. As a local agent, it is particularly exciting to play a role in a project that will deliver lasting economic benefits for Bromsgrove.”
The wider regeneration scheme also includes the Pavilion Building, a multi-purpose community facility, together with new public realm works designed to reconnect the high street and improve pedestrian movement through this part of the town. The Former Market Hall site, located in the south of Bromsgrove town centre, has remained vacant since 2010.
“This new Commercial Building creates exciting opportunities for businesses looking to establish themselves in Bromsgrove and the wider Worcestershire area. The delivery of premium commercial space supports our ambition to create a vibrant, safe, and welcoming town centre for residents, visitors, and employers.”
The redevelopment of the Former Market Hall site is designed to regenerate a key brownfield location in Worcestershire, attract new businesses to Bromsgrove, enhance the public realm, and improve safety through better design, lighting, and security.
The £14.5 million project has been funded by the UK Government through the Levelling Up Fund.
Practical completion is anticipated in early 2026, with businesses expected to occupy the new commercial space shortly afterwards.
“A Commercial and Cultural Hub at the heart of Bromsgrove Town, along with the work to improve the natural environment, will go a long way to increasing the leisure and business opportunities that the town has to offer the surrounding area. The appointment of GJS Dillon is the next exciting step in creating a hub which residents can be proud of.”
