The Situation

Hills Ford, a successful family-run Ford franchisee operating across the West Midlands and Worcestershire since 2009, experienced continued growth and demand in the Worcester area. Already operating two showrooms in Kidderminster and Malvern, they required a new Worcestershire site to accommodate their expanding business, including new and used car sales, commercial vehicles, motorhomes, and comprehensive aftersales services.

Given the competitive local property market and limited suitable freehold options, Hills Ford faced a challenging task in finding a site that met their operational and strategic requirements.


Our Role

As an existing client of GJS Dillon, Hills Ford engaged us to identify and acquire a suitable property in Worcester. Our role included:

  • Conducting a comprehensive search for available freehold sites that met Hills Ford’s specific operational needs.

  • Providing strategic advice on the local commercial property market.

  • Coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth acquisition process.


How We Helped

After an extensive search, we successfully identified and acquired 16a Blackpole Trading Estate East, a 1.62-acre (0.66 ha) site with offices and warehousing totalling 25,377 sq. ft. (2,357.57 sq. m).

We guided Hills Ford through the acquisition process, overcoming the challenge of limited suitable freehold options in Worcester. The site will be transformed into a state-of-the-art Ford sales and service centre, featuring:

  • An expansive showroom for passenger and commercial vehicles

  • Dedicated customer facilities

  • Workshops equipped with the latest diagnostic technology

Our expert knowledge of the local market, combined with strategic insight and hands-on support, ensured the client secured the perfect property despite a challenging market.


The Outcome

The acquisition represents a long-term commitment by Hills Ford to Worcester and the local community. Key outcomes include:
